Christmas is right around the corner!

I can't believe Christmas is in 1 week! Have you finished your shopping and wrapping all your presents? I still have some work to do, but thought I would share a few ideas with you! Here are a few packages I wrapped with recycled bags.  The striped package is wrapped with a recycled bag from my favorite clothing store "White house Black market".  The smaller package is wrapped with a brown lunch sack.  Both are embellished with gift tags created with the Close To My Heart "Art Philosophy Cricut collection" and jazzed up with a little glitz gel!  What a fun way to use what I had on hand and create a fun presentation!

This next package is wrapped using a piece of Close To My Heart B&T from the Mayberry paper pack and topped off with a cocoa ribbon and card using the upcoming special "Rock the Block"!   (Check back for upcoming details of the "Rock the Block" promotion!)  Don't be afraid to use those extra pieces of pattern paper you have in your stash as wrapping paper!  Creating a beautiful package doesn't have to just be done with traditional wrapping papers and bows!  Let your imagination run wild and have fun creating beautiful packages this holiday season!

So Grateful!

As I start my week, I am reflecting on the many blessings in my life.  I had a spectacular spa weekend with the girls and during this weekend, I had time to take a step back and reflect on my many blessings.  I was trying to think of just how to capture my thoughts and memories for which I am so thankful for and decided to create a "gratitude" box as a place to jot down notes and add pictures of my most treasured moments and memories.  I hope you like it!  This box was covered with Close To My Hearts Dreamin' paper, distressed with chocolate ink and embellished with our just blooms, rhinestone designer brads, chocolate striped grosgrain ribbon and sparkles.  I am undecided if I like the ruffle created with the ribbon the best or the "timber brown StazOn dyed" rhinestone designer brads.  What do you think?  (I will also be teaching this at our upcoming Sauders crop!  The cost for the box and all the materials will be just $10)

Look at what I have been doing!

I have been having a great time playing in my scrapbook room today!  I pulled out all my "toys", made a huge mess and created a few cards!

On this card, I added a few fun touches using embossing powder and my heating tool.  I added clear embossing powder to the edges of the card and a stamped image to add a fun little flare!  Along the edges of the star you can see the clear embossing powder mixed with a little prisma glitter.  I haven't pulled out my embossing powders in a while, but was totally inspired after Close To My Hearts Regional Celebration in Detroit.  I LOVED the artwork and couldn't wait to come home and pull out my embossing powders, metal embellishments, reinkers, glitter, etc... I could go on and on, but I figured I would just give you a peek at my desk instead!!
